Crytek’s free-to-play shooter Warface will officially launch for Xbox 360 on April 22, the developer has announced.
The game is currently available in open beta on the console, but will officially launch as a free download later this month. The game allows players to master four classes—Rifleman, Medic, Engineer, and Sniper—across both co-op and competitive multiplayer modes.
Warface will receive regular content updates from launch, which will add “new, daily co-operative campaign missions, and a continuous supply of new maps, weaponry and more,” according to the developer.
“We’re extremely excited to be bringing ‘Warface’ to console gamers later this month on Xbox 360,” said Hasit Zala, Warface Franchise Director at Crytek. “We’re looking forward to bringing ‘Warface’ to the more than 48 million Xbox Live members, offering a free-to-play game filled with intense co-op action and new, daily content to keep Xbox 360 players coming back for more.”
While the game itself is free-to-play, players will still require an Xbox Live Gold account to access the game.
