Title Update 1.13 arrives today for Watch Dogs 2 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, Ubisoft has announced.
The update introduces a new online mode called Showdown, which was originally supposed to be included in the No Compromises premium DLC, but Ubisoft decided to make it free to improve the health of the mode. Showdown is a new type of online gameplay for 2v2 PvP matches that features three types of objectives (Steal the HDD, Doom-load, and Erase/Protect the Servers set across 15 distinct locations.
Also, multiplayer functionality has been added to Drone, motocross and eKart races along with leaderboards that offer season rewards.
On top of everything above, update 1.13 also introduces a new in-game event called Loot Truck. Following the update, random armored trucks will spawn in the world that offer a chance to hack them and then defend against the flood of police that respond. Successfully defending the truck will reward a large amount of cash.
Finally, the update adds a Paintball Gun that can stun enemies and 12 new clothing items. Check out the full patch notes here.
This free update will be followed by the No Compromises DLC tomorrow, April 18th, on PlayStation 4. This premium DLC includes a new DEADSEC Operation called Moscow Gambit, new clothing items, single-player time trials, and two new weapons: the Air Shotgun and Taser Sniper Rifle. Xbox One and PC players will have to wait until May to get their hands on the DLC.
