Watch Dogs

Hudson Mohawke will be producing the official soundtrack for Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world hacktivist simulator, Watch Dogs 2.

Announced by the developer, Mohawke, who has collaborated with artists such as Drake, Kanye West, and Frank Ocean, has been brought on to produce the official soundtrack for Watch Dogs 2. Mowhawke has released the first song from the soundtrack, “entitled Shanghaied,” on Spotify. An intense tune with a mix of drums and keys, the track sets an amazing tone for the upcoming game.

“I knew I wanted to use the palette of some cult sci-fi soundtracks while also incorporating my own style,” said Mohawke in a statement released by Ubisoft. “It’s been a real learning experience, and even a challenge at some points, but very rewarding in terms of expressing myself creatively and allowing me to reach new audiences with my music without needing a ‘genre’ stamp.”

You can check out the track for yourself below.

Watch Dogs 2 launches November 15th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a PC release to follow on November 29th.
