While many already expected that Ubisoft’s upcoming futuristic adventure game Watch Dogs would also see release for next-gen consoles, a new ad for the game definitely seems to hint at that.
The folks over at Kotaku got ahold of a piece of marketing materials for the game (seen below). There’s two interesting elements to the ad: the lack of any reference to which platforms the game would be on, and—in lieu of that—a tagline stating “available on all home consoles”.
Ubisoft already announced Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions of Watch Dogs, so if that were the only versions coming, why the need to be coy about platforms? A Wii U version could be possible, but again, there’s be no need to be secretive about that being one of the places consumers could play the game.
Of course, there’s then also the use of the comment “truly next-gen adventure” from G4 on the back of the ad.
Obviously, this is no guarantee that Watch Dogs will be making an appearance on the next Xbox and PlayStation platforms—for me, though, it’s more reassurance for what I was already assuming.
