Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot confirmed in a recent financial call that Watch Dogs is on track for a release during the first quarter of Ubisoft’s 2014-2015 fiscal year. However, the Wii U version will be held back and released at a later date.
The first quarter of Ubisoft’s 2014-2015 fiscal year would put the release date sometime between April 1 and June 30. The Wii U version of the game “will be launched at a later date,” Guillemot announced. No specifics were offered regarding how long Wii U owners would have to wait.
“Watch Dogs on current-gen is really looking very good, and we’ve been able to put lots of the features that are in next-gen, so you can expect this game to be fantastic as well,” Guillemot added.
Watch Dogs is set to release for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, and Wii U.
