The Legend of Zelda

The Master Trials DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is almost here, and that means it’s time to start preparing for your toughest run through Hyrule yet. Thankfully, though, there’s one thing you don’t need to worry about: your save file.

The new DLC will use a separate set of save data slots from those used in regular gameplay, Nintendo has revealed. This means that you won’t accidentally overwrite anything from your old save.

You’ll still want to be careful, though. While the Normal Mode version of the game uses six save data slots, the Master Mode will use only two, making it harder to jump to a past save if you mess something up.

The Master Trials DLC makes the game harder, but it also adds in the new Trial of the Sword, Heroes Path Mode, the Travel Medallion, and several new sets of armor.

The Master Trials releases on June 30th.
