Wii Homebrew Channel Working on Wii U

The hackers behind the Wii Homebrew Channel have managed to get it working on Nintendo’s new Wii U console.
A post by dhewg–one of the team behind the channel–reveals that a new version of the channel is now available that works on both consoles. For now, the Homebrew Channel will only run in Wii mode on the Wii U, but dhewg hopes that the hacking community can use this break-through to find a way to get the channel running in Wii U mode.
“We can all try to hack the Wii U together from inside Wii mode,” he said. It appears that the Wii U is still a long way off being fully hacked, for now. A similar break-through was made when the 3DS came out–Hackers managed to get DS homebrew cartridges running in DS mode, but are still unable to run them in full 3DS mode.
