Nintendo has announced that it will release a HD version of Wii Sports for the Wii U via the Nintendo eShop this November. Titled Wii Sports Club, it contains HD versions of all five sports included in the original release: Tennis, Bowling, Baseball, Golf and, Boxing.

Each sport will support online multiplayer via the Sports Club, which will encourage players to sign up for state and regional clubs. Players can then choose to either play friendly matches against members of their club, or ranked matches against rival clubs. There’s also support for Miiverse and Wii Motion Plus, for “more refined control” than the original.

Initially Tennis and Bowling will be available to purchase from November 7, priced at $9.99 each (granting unlimited access to the sport), with Boxing, Baseball, and Golf scheduled to launch in “the months ahead,” according to Nintendo.

In a Nintendo Direct broadcast, president Satoru Iwata revealed that players can purchase “Day Passes” for Wii Sports Club for $1.99, which grant 24 hours worth of access to all sports available. After downloading Wii Sports Club for the first time players will be granted one Day Pass for free, allowing them to try all sports available at the time for 24 hours.
