There’s over 50 Wii U games releasing between November 18th and March 2013, but it seems less than half will be available on the console’s launch date. Better late than never, Nintendo has confirmed that selection.
Small updates are being made to the Wii U games list at Nintendo of America’s website, indicating that the following titles have an official “November 18th” release date:
- Nintendo Land
- New Super Mario Bros. U
- Assassin’s Creed III
- Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II
- Darksiders II
- Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
- ESPN Sports Connection
- Game Party Champions
- Just Dance 4
- Madden NFL 13
- Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
- Mass Effect 3: Special Edition
- NBA 2K13
- Rabbids Land
- Rayman Legends
- Scribblenauts Unlimited
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
- Tekken Tag Tournament 2
- Transformers Prime
- Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013
For those counting, that’s 22 games in total, with only two of them being first-party titles from Nintendo—everything else comes from third-party developers, with a great deal of them being ports of PS3 and Xbox 360 games.
It’s pretty much certain that Nintendo Land will be the best-seller out of the whole bunch, just by the nature that it’s packed-in with the Wii U’s 32GB “Deluxe” version. Of course, it’s entirely possible that more games are confirmed for the official launch date, especially since Nintendo has plenty of time to change things up.
