The latest Wii U system update, version 4.1.0 U, is now live and introduces improvements that enhance the user experience.
According to the update notes, version 4.1.0 makes “further improvements to overall system stability” and “other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”
Wii U’s last major update, version 4.0.0, went live last year and added a number of features to the console. Such as the ability to output the display of original Wii games to the Wii U GamePad and the option to automatically download demos.
The next Wii U update is planned for “early summer” and will decrease the time it takes to start a game. “We think that this function will make you feel that the time to start up a Wii U software title is cut by more than 50 per cent, and that it will also lead to more Wii U users understanding the appealing nature of the GamePad,” Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said back in January.
