THE BUZZ: A leaked Rayman Legends trailer has revealed an interesting new feature for the Wii U.

At the end of the trailer below, players are seen placing toys on the Wii U controller’s screen which then appear on-screen. The system appears to be similar to the one that Skylanders uses.

In the trailer, players are seen placing a love heart and even a little Raving Rabbid onto the screen.

EGM’s TAKE: Skylanders became an overnight sensation with kids thanks to the real toy transport feature. Could Nintendo be aiming to capture the same audience? If more games make use of it, then it could be a big selling point for the company, especially with kids and parents. However, this kind of thing isn’t going to win them any points with the hardcore crowd. It will be interesting to see what they do with the feature going forward.

What do you think of the feature? Let us know in the comments below.
