NCSOFT and Carbine Studios have announced that WildStar will enter open beta testing for 10 days starting this Thursday, May 8.
The open beta period will begin on May 8 and run for 10 days until May 18, the developer announced. During the open beta, the previous level 25 cap placed on characters will be upped to 30. At launch the level cap will be 50.
The developer is also set to host two livestreams and a Q&A session this week. On May 8, Mike Donatelli, product director, Chad Moore, creative director, Stephen Frost, producer and voice of DevSpeak, and Matt Mocarski, development director will be answering questions and discussing the state of the game. This will be followed by a second livestream on May 9, in which Jeremy Gaffney will discuss the callenges behind getting the game ready for launch as well as showing off some Raids and Warplots gameplay.
Finally, also on May 9, Carbine will be running a massive social AMA (Ask Me Anything) across Facebook, Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, the game’s forums, Twitch, and Vine.
WildStar is available to pre-order now and is set to officially launch on June 3.
