The business model of WildStar has been a closely guarded secret for some time now, but finally Carbine has lifted the veil and offered up the details.
WildStar will require a subscription in order to play, but there are ways to circumvent this. C.R.E.D.D., “Certificate of Research, Exploration, Destruction, and Development,” can be purchased for $19.99 a month, this grants you 30-days of game time, however this can also be sold in-game for currency. So while you can go the normal route and pay your subscription you can also earn a ton of in-game currency and buy C.R.E.E.D off other players allowing you to play the game for free.
Carbine also revealed that it is aiming to get the game out by spring 2014–a slight delay from the original 2013 window.
