According to a rumor over on Kotaku, the next Rainbow Six title will see America attacked from within.
Kotaku, speaking on information received from sources, says that the next Rainbow Six title from Ubisoft will be a “return” to what made the Rainbow Six franchise so popular in earlier versions, stepping away from what the series did in Rainbow Six: Vegas.
This new Rainbow Six title is said to be more story-driven, crafting a tale that is larger in scope and which is “much more gritty” cinematically.
The basis of the story, it seems, is that a group of homegrown terrorists have targeted New York City, due to the “greed of Wall Street and the government that acts to protect them”.
