We’re just over a week away from E3 2018, which is the perfect time for another purported leak about the much-rumored Rocksteady-developed Superman game.
This time, an anonymous 4Chan user is claiming that the studio behind the Batman: Arkham series is priming its (unconfirmed) Man of Steel game for an E3 2018 reveal during Microsoft’s press conference on June 10th, which it will follow up with a Game Informer cover story in July.
According to the anonymous poster, the reveal trailer will focus on Braniac’s invasion of Metropolis, as well as showing off Superman’s powers of flight and beating up Braniac-controlled drones.
The only reason this potential “leak” holds any water is because of a domain name it gives as the game’s upcoming website, which it claims will launch after the game is revealed at E3. Supermangame.com is owned by Warner Bros. (obviously), but it was recently updated in February. Yep, that’s about all the reason we have to believe this specific batch of information. That, and the fact that Game Informer executive editor didn’t outright deny the rumors in a recent tweet.
He needs a new cape.

We don’t blame you for being skeptical. Previous rumors suggesting that Rocksteady would reveal its Superman game a couple of weeks before E3 2018 don’t seem to be panning out, and a rumor that surfaced back in November claiming that Supes would be gracing Game Informer‘s cover turned out to be false, too.
Rocksteady has neither confirmed nor denied that it’s working on a Superman game, despite the never-ending onslaught of rumors surrounding such a high-profile property. The developer is using its motion-capture studio for something, but the only thing it’s done that’s even remotely related to Superman is send NetherRealm Studios a cake.
At this point, we just want Rocksteady to reveal the game so that the nightmare of anonymous 4Chan posts about the game can finally come to an end. Please, Rocksteady. Put us out of our misery already.
