Wipeout 2048 Confirmed For Sony’s New Handheld + Screenshots And Two Videos
Posted on June 2, 2011 AT 11:47am

Whatever Sony’s new handheld may be called, it will be getting Wipeout 2048. Here are two official videos about the game from Sony, along with screenshots and a few details.

Here are a couple of points known as of now. First, the NGP version of Wipeout 2048 will offer up a few different control schemes, where players can switch from more traditional controls to using the handheld’s tilt sensor for turning and rear touch pad for controlling acceleration.

In a very awesome move, players on the NGP and players on the PS3 will be able to race against one another via cross-platform multiplayer. On the downside, there is one point of bad news: the NGP version of Wipeout 2048 will run at 30fps, half the framerate of its console older sibling.
