Coupled with the unveiling of a new trailer today, Bethesda Softworks has officially announced the release date and pre-order bonuses for Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Hitting store shelves on May 20, 2014 in North America and May 23, 2014 in Europe, Wolfenstein: The New Order is the newest chapter in the franchise that helped pioneer the FPS genre.

In it, you once again play as series protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz, but instead of overcoming the Nazi war machine, B.J. is injured in battle and slips into a coma for 14 years. When he reawakens, he finds the Nazis won World War II and now rule the globe with an iron fist. And as the embedded gameplay trailer below shows, B.J. is none too happy about that.

It was also revealed today those who pre-order Wolfenstein: The New Order will be invited to access the new DOOM beta. Wolfenstein: The New Order will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC.
