Wargaming has announced that update 8.0 for World of Tanks has suffered a delay to allow more time for bug fixes.
The update was due to arrive this week in Eastern Europe, but due to a number of bugs the release date has been pushed back, this means that other region releases will also have to be pushed back.
“Release of 8.0 initially scheduled for RU region for this week was postponed, which naturally affects release dates for other regions as well,” Overlord, producer and game designer at Wargaming, explained. The following issues are still causing a problem:
- FPS drops in bushes and sniper mode. Unfortunately the fix to this problem didn’t make it to test 3 due to technical reasons. Thus one more iteration is required
- Crashes to desktop when painting or changing logos/texts
- Disappearing dispersion circle for SPGs
