Blizzard has decided to slash 75 percent off the price of World of Warcraft and its expansions for this week only, could it have something to do with a certain other MMO due to launch next week?

The World of Warcraft Battle Chest, which contains the original game and the Burning Crusade expansion, is down to just $5, while the expansions Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm have been reduced to $5 and $10 respectively. So if you’ve yet to enter the World of Warcraft then now would be the perfect time to do so.

These prices are only available via the official Blizzard store and the sale is due to end August 27.
