Activision has announced that World of Warcraft subscribers have dipped to 9.6 million as of December 31, 2012.

This represents a drop of around 400,000 since the reported 10 million shortly after the release of the game’s latest expansion Mists of Pandaria.

This figure is actually a lot better than I expected, considering how long it has been since the expansion released. The question is how will it hold up next quarter?
