Activision Blizzard has confirmed that World of Warcraft‘s subscriber count has fallen to 7.7 million in the second calendar quarter.

This number us down around 600,000 compared to the 8.3 million reported at the end of the first calendar quarter. Of course the game still remains the undisputed leader in the MMO genre even with this loss.

Activision will post its full second quarter results on August 1.
