Wargaming has announced that its upcoming MMO World of Warplanes has suffered a delay and will now release in November.
The game was initially slated to release this month, but has been pushed back to a staggered release across November 12 and November 13 in Europe and North America. The developer explained that the reason for the delay is to allow time to create a “more immersive multiplayer experience.”
“We are committed to releasing a great title and are doing everything to ensure that World of Warplanes gets the final polish we believe the game needs,” said World of Warplanes‘ Director of Global Operations Vlad Belozerov. “The extra time will allow the development team to fine-tune the game balance and make sure that every feature is top-notch before launch.”
The developer added that experience gained during the beta will not be wiped before the game goes live. The total sum of experience earned will be evenly distributed between pilots of low-level warplanes from all five nationalities at launch.
