Wargaming has announced that World of Warships: Legends will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2019.

According to the developer, this will not be a port of the PC version, as it has been created “pretty much from scratch” to deliver “the best naval combat gameplay available within the console realm.”

An alpha for the console release is scheduled to begin in July. Interested console owners can sign up for a chance to take part here. Successful applicants will need about 30 GB of space on their hard drive.

More information about the console release will be shared at Gamescom in August.

World of Warships is available now as a free download on PC.
