A proper, 2D Worms 3 is coming to iOS devices later this summer, developer Team 17 announced today.
Worms 3—designed exclusively for mobile platforms—will feature new graphics, worm classes, and weapons, and offer players the choice between both touch-based and virtual D-pad controls. According to a post on Team 17′s official website, Worms 3 contains 27 single-player missions across four level themes: Beach, Spooky, Farmyard, and Sewer. The title touts asynchronous and standard multiplayer modes as well.
And cheevos. There’ll be cheevos. Because that’s what gaming’s all about these days.
Worms 3 launches later this summer exclusively on iPhones, iPads, and iPods.
