Team 17 has announced that its popular franchise Worms will be making its debut on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year with Worms Battlegrounds.

Battlegrounds will be one of the first titles to be self-published on Xbox One via Microsoft’s ID@Xbox program, of which Team 17 is an ambassador. Sadly the developer failed to offer any details about the game.

A PC version was not mentioned, but the game appeared in Steam’s database back in November, so a release seems likely.
