2K Games has confirmed that the recently unveiled WWE 2K19 will not be coming to Nintendo Switch.

A statement released by the publisher (Via PowerupGaming) about the Switch release stated that the game is skipping Nintendo’s console and the company is “focused on making the best possible experience for WWE 2K fans.”

WWE 2K19 will not be available on Nintendo Switch. 2K is focused on making the best possible experience for WWE 2K fans and will continue evaluating all opportunities to deliver the franchise across additional platforms,” the statement reads.

The Switch release of WWE 2K18 last year had a number of issues at launch, including frame rate drops and low resolution, so this may be why the decision has been made to drop support for the console this year.

WWE 2K19 launches October 9th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
