The company’s data shows that an average user spent over 87 hours a month on their Xbox 360, another 10 percent increase over 2011. Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s senior vice president, released a few other interesting facts regarding Xbox 360 usage last year. According to him, Since July the Xbox Live community has managed to burn a total of 200 million calories using Kinect.

Yusuf added that the Xbox Live community now has 46 million subscribers–a 15 percent year-on-year growth–and 24 million Kinect sensors have been sold worldwide. Entertainment app usage was up 57 percent last year and The Hunger Games broke the record for biggest opening day on Xbox Video. Finally the Xbox 360 has been the top selling console in the U.S. for 24 consecutive months.
