Microsoft managed to sell over one million Xbox 360 units in December, according to the latest NPD Group report.

The console remains top of the sales chart for a 24th consecutive month, thanks to the 1.4 million sold–more than doubling the second ranking console’s sales.

“We expect 2013 will be another big year for Xbox 360 and we’re eager to continue to expand and grow the offerings available on the platform,” Microsoft said in a statement.
