Xbox 360 System Update Fixes Color Issues

THE BUZZ: An Xbox 360 update is being rolled out to users fixing various color issues in video playback discovered since the last major dashboard revision.
“In this update, we are providing a fix to a color issue that some were experiencing, and it will be immediately notable in the dashboard,” revealed Xbox Live’s Larry Hryb. ”The fix is also being applied by partners to their apps on Xbox Live, which we expect to roll out over the coming months.”
The problem was first discovered by users during the dashboard’s beta test, where Microsoft acknowledged the problem but still released the update anyway.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s good that Microsoft has finally offered a fix for the issue, but it should have been addressed back in the beta before the dashboard’s final release? It would have been ridiculous to delay the whole update over this niggling issue, but Microsoft knew it was in there and didn’t offer an update for more than a month after release. It’s fixed now, so let’s just all enjoy our perfect video playback and put this behind us.
