Xbox Live Experiencing Downtime (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Normal service appears to have been restored.

THE BUZZ: Xbox Live is currently experiencing unscheduled downtime with many users unable to connect to the service.

A service alert has just been posted over on Xbox.com with users unable to connect to either Xbox Live or Xbox.com.

Users may experience difficulties with the following services:

Signing into Games for Windows – LIVE on a PC

Signing into Xbox LIVE from an Xbox console

Signing into Xbox LIVE from Xbox.com

We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.
