Xbox Live Region Switching Web App in Beta
Posted on January 3, 2013 AT 03:40am
Switching Xbox Live regions has always been a pain to do, but now help is at hand thanks to a new region switching web app that is currently in beta.
Microsoft is currently testing a region switching web tool which can easily move your entire account to a different region at the touch of a button. NeoWin has a screen-grab of the tool which you can view here. Region switching can take up to six weeks using the app–as a security precaution–and can only occur once every three months.
The switch will see your gamertag, Microsoft Points balance, Xbox Live Gold membership time, and Achievements carried over, however, you will lose some region-locked data in the switch, such as region specific subscription services.
Will you make use of this app once it is out of beta? Share your thoughts below.
