Microsoft has launched a free 30 day trial for its new web-based Xbox Music service, similar to Spotify, which can be streamed across a number of Windows devices.

An Xbox account is required to join the free trial and you will also need to enter your credit card number as Microsoft will begin automatically charging you for the service after the 30 days are up, unless you cancel your account.

The service grants users access to over a million songs with no advertisement interruptions and is available on Windows 8, smartphones, tablets, and Xbox 360. The app isn’t yet available on iOS or Android devices, but Microsoft is considering supporting them in the future.

You can sign up now over on http://music.xbox.com/
