Xbox One’s backward compatibility feature now supports multidisc Xbox 360 games, according to Xbox spokesperson Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb.

Hryb confirmed the new feature on Reddit earlier today.

“I can confirm that the [backward compatibility] team has done work to support multidisc scenarios,” he wrote. “Be sure to thank the engineers.”

The first backward compatible game to utilize multiple discs was Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut, which gained support earlier this week. The multidisc support opens up the possibility for more backward compatible games in the future, such as Mass Effect 2 and 3 as well as Lost Odyssey.
