The Xbox One managed to outsell PlayStation 4 in the U.S. for the fourth month in a row, according to data from NPD.
According to the data, Xbox One was the best-selling console in October across the U.S., U.K., and Australia.
“Thanks to the passion of Xbox fans worldwide and their continued excitement for Xbox One S, Xbox One was once again the best-selling console in October in the US, U.K. and Australia according to NPD Group and GfK Entertainment,” Xbox’s head of marketing Mike Nichols said. “Xbox One has been the best-selling console in the U.S. for the past four months, and in the U.K. and Australia in each of the last two months.”
Nichols added that Gears of War 4 was the “number one platform-exclusive title for October in the U.S. and U.K.,” and combined with Battlefield 1 resulted in a 52 percent increase in Xbox Live multiplayer gamers compared to last year.
Will the PlayStation 4 Pro put a halt to Microsoft’s momentum? We’ll have to wait and see.
