Microsoft has officially dropped the price of Xbox One in the U.K. again, bringing it down to under £300.

An advertisement on Xbox.com lists the console at its new starting price of £299.99. This marks the fourth time that Microsoft has lowered the price of its console in the U.K.

At launch the console was priced at £429.99 with Kinect, before being dropped to £399.99 shortly before the release of Titanfall. Following this, Microsoft dropped the price again to £349.99 with the launch of its Kinect-less Xbox One bundle. Finally, the price was dropped for a third time to £329.99 before the release of Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

While it appears to be a permanent price drop?based on the advertising?it is actually part of a new temporary promotion, according to a Microsoft U.K. spokesperson.

“This is a UK-only retail promotion and offers great value for fans looking to buy an Xbox One ahead of the launch of 2015’s highly-anticipated games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Batman: Arkham Knight, along with Xbox exclusives such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6, and Halo 5: Guardians,” the spokesperson told VideoGamer.
