Next month’s Xbox One system update will introduce Snap mode for Achievements, quicker access to the Snap function without using Kinect, and more, Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb revealed today.
According to a post on the Major Nelson blog, the Snapped Achievements screen will also feature a “Get Help” option that runs a web-based search string for hints and tips and delivers them on-screen.
As for accessing Snap, the July update will make it so that double-tapping the Xbox jewel at the center of the controller will quickly bring up Snap Center. Additional double-taps will toggle between the snapped app and primary content (which is how it works now).
In addition, the July update will allow gamers in New Zealand, Ireland, and Austria select between English or German voice models from other countries, add a “Like” feature for Game DVR clips, and will give publishers more options for digital bundles and compilations on the Xbox Games Store.
