The Mac version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, announced earlier this month, is coming April 25, while an iOS release of the title is expected sometime this summer.
The Mac’s Elite Edition of Enemy Unknown will include all the previously released DLC, such as the Slingshot pack, Elite Soldier pack, and the Second Wave update.
According to XCOM: Enemy Unknown lead designer Jake Solomon, the iPhone and iPad versions coming this summer are “a straight port.”
“We have not made any gameplay exceptions,” said Solomon. “You play the exact same game [as the PC or console versions], it’s just now fully playable on an iPhone or an iPad.”
Solomon also said iPhone and iPad owners should expect a “premium price point,” which means something similar to The Walking Dead’s $15.
The iOS version of XCOM does not come with the Slingshot Pack, but does come with the Elite Soldier DLC. No mention as to whether the Second Wave update would be included.
