To mark the release of XCOM: Enemy Unknown on iOS devices, 2K Games released a new announcement trailer for developer Firaxis’ acclaimed turn-based strategy game.

The video (embedded below) is more cinematic than anything else—no actual gameplay is presented—but it does get the gist of Enemy Unknown across: soldiers, aliens, war.

One of the most interesting additions to the iOS version of Enemy Unknown is the inclusion of cloud saving, which allows players to easily pick up their progress from one iOS device to another—starting a game on their iPad and continuing it on their iPhone, for example.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is available for purchase now on iPad 2 through 4, iPad mini, iPhone 4S and 5, and the fifth-generation iPod Touch for $20.
