XCOM Shooter Delayed Until 2013

THE BUZZ: 2K marin’s XCOM first person shooter has been delayed until 2013, with Firaxis Games’ XCOM: Enemy Unknown set to relaunch the franchise instead this year.
The latest issue of Game Informer states that the XCOM FPS will not meet its scheduled March 6, 2012 release date and will now launch before the end of March 2013.
EGM’s TAKE: Fans looking forward to the XCOM inspired FPS will be disappointed, however it makes more sense to relaunch the franchise using a re-imagining of the original title in Enemy Unknown.
