It took quite a lot of work from both Nintendo fans and the role-playing game community to get Xenoblade an international Wii release. Hopefully, petitions won’t be needed for Monolith Soft’s next game.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata confirmed that Monolith Soft president Tetsuya Takahashi and the Xenoblade team were making “a new IP”—so that rules out another Xeno-title, at the very least.
Although Xenoblade was a Wii release, it would be interesting to see what the team could do with the game in a Wii U port, using the WiiPad (GamePad) to streamline menu navigation. Hey, why don’t we put it to a petition?
