Posted on July 12, 2011 AT 08:11pm

Monolith Software – the developer behind Wii RPG Xenoblade – is not only looking forward to the Wii U, but reallys want to show what the system can do.

In an interview conducted on the company’s Japanese website, Monolith CEO Hirohide Sugirua said that the company had been doing a lot of research into HD development, and that their games for the Wii U will show the result of that.

As well, Monolith staff member Michihiko Inaba said that with Monolith’s first HD title, he hopes the company will be able to show that Japanese game developers can still compete with Western companies when developing HD games.
