THE BUZZ: French Publisher Anuman Interactive has announced it has secured the rights to the comic book franchise XIII for a new game on PC, Mac and iOS.

It has been eight years since Ubisoft released XIII, a FPS on PS2 and Gamecube. The only details the publisher gave about he game was that it will “go back to the XIII conspiracy origins.” Anuman has published games for PC, Mac, iOS, Wii, DS and PSP in the past.

EGM’s TAKE: Reviving a franchise after so long is a risky business, especially when the original game amassed a cult following.
