A HD re-release for Yakuza and Yakuza 2 has been confirmed by Japanese magazine Famitsu, however Sega is still keeping tight lipped about a Western release.

The upgraded PlayStation 2 titles will be available on PlayStation 3 from November 1 complete with HD visuals, reduced load times, improved inventory management, and other little quality of life tweaks.

Sega has so far declined to comment on a possible Western release for the collection.
