THE BUZZ: Sega has announced that Yakuza: Of The End has been renamed to Yakuza: Dead Souls for its Western release, and has also dropped a trailer and some screenshots.

The game, a PlayStation 3 exclusive, will release in March 2012, featuring the entire storyline, Japanese DLC and a new Pachislot mini-game.

Yakuza: Dead Souls is set in the infamous red light district of Tokyo, which is under attack from hordes of zombies. Players will not only face armies of the undead and incredibly powerful mutants, but a treacherous Japanese underworld that is just as merciless. Playing through the eyes of four of the most infamous characters of the series, witness allegiances shift quickly and the line between friend and foe lost.

EGM’s TAKE: This announcement has been coming ever since the game’s logo was revealed via a trademark. The added content will certainly be a bonus to Western fans. We never pass up an opportunity to kill zombies or play a Yakuza game, so we’ll be having some fun next March.
