Bandai Namco has announced that legendary swordsman Yoshimitsu will be part of the SoulCalibur VI roster when the game launches later this year.

“The Manji clan’s village was located at the bottom of the Holy Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, the clan was destroyed by the ire of a powerful warlord,” the publisher explains. “As the lone survivor, Yoshimitsu, dedicated his life to his clan’s martial arts. With his excellent swordsmanship, he was the greatest swordsmen of his time!”

Earlier this month, Bandai Namco revealed that series regular Taki will be part of the game’s roster.

SoulCalibur VI is scheduled to launch later this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
