THE BUZZ: Oh my gosh! Vita games are now out there and available for purchasing! Why are you sitting around reading this!
EGM’s TAKE: Okay, but seriously—it seems Sony has given the okay to retailers to begin selling any first-party Vita games they’ve already received. Typically, game publishers like to put set street dates on games, and then get mad at any retailers who let customers purchase said games before that date.
In this case, however, Sony no doubt realized that allowing the games to get out there early would do nothing but help create more buzz for the Vita’s release.
Reports have come in that GameStop stores already have various Vita games and are selling them, and I’ve heard talk that Amazon may be doing the same as well. So, if you can’t wait to get your hands on some of the hot Vita launch titles, get out there and go looking for them!
…of course, you’ll then have to wait to actually play them until you get the Vita, unless you already imported a Japanese model. But who cares!
