Developer creā-ture Studios has delayed the Kickstarter campaign for its Skate spiritual successor, Session, but it’s given us something even better in the meantime.

The Kickstarter campaign, which was originally set to launch on November 14th, has been pushed back a week to November 21st. However, in order to whet your appetite, creā-ture Studios has published a free demo of Session on its website.

The demo is PC-only right now, but the developer does plan on making console versions of the game one of its Kickstarter stretch goals.

Utilizing Skate’s more naturalistic, realistic controls over Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s arcade-y, gravity-defying gameplay, Session wants to highlight the creativity and self-expression inherent in skating, instead of the flashy combo multipliers and insane collectible challenges of most skateboard games, according to studio founder Marc-andré Houde.

Session is scheduled to launch in 2018 on PC (at least). You can check out the Kickstarter’s trailer below:

Michael Goroff has been gaming for almost three decades. He's a lover of all games and systems, but he mostly plays Xbox. That being said, if he's a fanboy, he's a fanboy for the game industry as a whole. Spit white-hot fanboy hate at him, trash talk his Gold II rank on Rocket League, or maybe just send him a cordial hello on Twitter @gogogoroff.

You can now try Skate spiritual successor Session for free

Developer creā-ture Studios delayed the Kickstarter campaign but published the demo anyway, because they're cool like that.
