Overwatch fans are trying by any means possible to get Jeff Kaplan to let slip details about potential upcoming hero Doomfist, but the sly game director is on to us.

While speaking with Kaplan at the 2017 BAFTAs, a Twitch interviewer attempted to trick Kaplan into revealing information about Doomfist, including whether actor Terry Crew would be providing the character’s voice. Crews has long been tied to the character, expressing an interest in playing the character on multiple occasions, visiting the Blizzard campus, and even performing a mock audition. Needless to say, Jeff was too quick on his feet to be fooled, but it’s fairly entertaining to watch him weasel out of the question.

Doomfist was long believed to be the game’s 24th hero before the reveal of the recently launched Orisa. There is still the possibility that Doomfist will drop as the 25th hero, which Blizzard has confirmed is far along in development. Perhaps this new character will be teased during the upcoming King’s Row Uprising event.

Nick didn’t start gaming until mid-2006. Once his parents finally allowed a console into the house, it was all uphill from there. Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
