The Reddit community has done it again. After resounding support for a Fortnite skin concept designed by a young fan, developer Epic Games finally caved and added it to the game.
Earlier this fall, Reddit user tfoust10 posted a Fortnite skin concept drawn by his eight-year-old son Connor. The skin was called the Chicken Trooper, and a swell of support from the Reddit community called on Epic to add it to the game. Fellow Reddit users even took Connor’s concept further, giving the design color and detail.
Epic were apparently listening to the community, as Fortnite‘s recent Fowl Play update added the skin, renamed the Tender Defender. The skin launched with its own Flappy Flyer and Scrambler items, and these can be purchased for 1,500, 800, and 500 V-Bucks, respectively.

According to a follow-up Reddit post, the introduction of the skin earned tfoust10 some major dad points. In other Fortnite news, the game’s recently added mounted turret weapon keeps getting hit with nerfs.
