THE BUZZ: In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda franchise, Nintendo is offering up a free copy of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition, a special re-release of the GameBoy Advance multiplayer title.
Anniversary Edition contains all of the content of the original Four Swords GBA release, but also includes new options such as “The Realm of Memories”, where players visit various Zelda worlds of the past, and “The Hero’s Trial”, a new challenge mode where players can test their skills.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition is now up as a DSiWare release on the DSi and 3DS in Japan, the U.S., Europe, and Australia, and is said to be free through February 20th, 2012. To be safe, however, I’d suggest grabbing it as soon as you can!
EGM’s TAKE: Free games are always great, especially when it’s a game like The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. I’ve personally never played it myself, so I’m looking forward to downloading it later today. Sure, I kind of wish it had online multiplayer instead of just local support, but I guess you can’t complain too much when it’s free, right?
